Facilities

The Sanctuary

The original sanctuary, completed and dedicated August 20, 1909, was roughly the size of the present sanctuary without the front porch and the present large pulpit.  Renovations in the mid 1950's rock veneered the building and a Sunday School, child care center, a large fellowship hall, modern kitchen, pastor's office, large front porch, and rock walkways were added.  In 1955 a 40-foot lighted steeple was erected, a memorial chapel added and the new building was dedicated on July 20, 1958.  In 1990 sanctuary renovation increased its seating capacity by incorporating the chapel area into the sanctuary, the chancel area was enlarged, and a sacristy was added. In 2002, the pipe organ was upgraded with a Rogers Trillium 957 console capable of playing six ranks of pipes as well as 102 digital stops including orchestral and choral voices and a comprehensive MIDI system with 354 sounds.

The Fellowship Hall

The activities building providing space for offices, a fellowship hall, library, conference rooms, classrooms, and storage areas was consecrated on June 30, 1991.  The Fellowship Hall contains a kitchen and space that is used for our Wonderful Wednesday dinners, for wedding receptions, for meetings, and other activities.

The Library

The church library is located on the lower level beneath the Fellowship Hall.  Everyone is invited to browse the shelves for reading material of all types:  Bible study and worship aids as well as children, youth, and adult books - both fiction and non-fiction.  We have worked to upgrade the library so that more people will be able to use and enjoy it.  We have purchased reading material for men, women, teens and children.  In addition, we have had many donations to the library including children's books and videos that have really added to the quality of material available for your use.  Books can be found on the the reading cart or in the library.  Next time you come to church, why not check out a book from our newest selections.  If you would like to donate any good children's videos or books, or adult reading material, please use the special basket in the library or on the reading cart located in the hallway outside the sanctuary.
