Learning Opportunities

Sunday School classes are available for participants of all ages.

Children's classes are designed to demonstrate principles of the Christian faith. Through these classes, children are lovingly nurtured into a closer relationship with Christ and the church.

Youth classes are designed to help them grow in their relationship with Christ through a variety of exciting and life-changing activities that are relevant in the lives of today's teens.

Adult classes provide a variety of small group opportunities for learning, developing a stronger faith, and sharing that faith with our families, with our community, and throughout the world.

Nursery

A nursery for babies and toddlers, staffed by paid adult nursery workers, provides quality care for infants through pre-kindergarten on Sunday mornings and for events during the week when needed.

Preschool - Ages 2-4

The class is led by Rebecca Dotson, Maggie Dearth, Rachel Lewicki, and Megan Lewicki. The class focuses on exploring faith, God's word for God's children. The class meets on the lower level of the Church - take a left through the glass doors to the second door on the right.

K-2nd Grades

The class is led by Cindy Reed and Sherry Richardson. The class is currently studying the "Winter Curriculum" that began in December with Jesus' birth and is now reviewing the 10 Commandments. The class also reviews the Bible verses learned each month last year and prizes are given for each verse that the children have memorized. The class meets across from the Preschool, on the lower level of the Church.

3rd-5th Grades

The class is led by Ann Schneider with Megan Potts' assistance. The class is currently studying materials based on current events and times of the year. They also work hard on learning Bible verses and plan to know twelve verses by the end of the year. They are also learning the books of the Bible and were to find them. There are hands on projects and games available each week. The class meets next to the K-2nd Grade class, across from the nursery.

Youth Celebration Sunday School

This class is led by James Farrish. This class of Middle and High School students concentrates on Bible Study and a review of current topics. The class has named its area "The Sonny Brick Window Room." The class meets on the lower level of the Church in the Youth Room directly below the Sanctuary.

Parenting Class

This class specializes in the study of courses in parenting.

Adult Class 1

This class is led by Coach Butch Smart. The class is working its way through the Bible and is currently studying the book of Numbers. The class meets in the Parlor, the first door on the left after entering the Fellowship Hall, at 9:45 AM.

Adult Class 2

This class is led by Dr. John Baumrucker. The class is studying a book by Max Lucado. The class The class meets downstairs in the Board Room at 9:45 AM.

Adult Class 3

This class is led by Wiley Sloan. The class is studying J. Ellsworth Kalas' book
If Experience is such a good teacher, Why do I keep repeating the course?
The class meets at Buck's Coffee House (a very casual atmosphere) at 9:30 AM.

Adult Class 4

This class is currently being led by Griffin Bell. The class is learning and growing through I Samuel. The class meets downstairs in the Library at 9:45 AM.
