Hurricane Harvey Local Relief Efforts!!
As United Methodists, we have the opportunity to offer financial assistance through UMCOR. Please mark donations for “Disaster Response” and make checks payable to the Western North Carolina Conference, sending them to the Conference Office at P.O. Box 18005, Charlotte, NC 28218. The UMCOR number for this special offering is “UMCOR Advance 901670.”
Wilson Gas (Doc Wilson) will have two drivers (Michael Chastain and Tubby Zachary) leaving Tuesday next week to take collected items to the flood victims in Texas. As requested, we will be collecting all types of animal food, wet wipes, Clorox, Clorox Wipes, buckets, and pump sprayers. You can bring items to donate to Highlands Fire Department. Bosnia
BosniaA Mission Team travels to Srebrenica, Bosnia to build a barn for a family in need. We build a barn in 5 to 7 days and the family receives and a pregnant cow or other livestock of their choosing. This is one of the only mission projects that you see the finished product from beginning to end.
